Register for Adventure Guides
YMCA Adventure Guides is a family program that strengthens the parent-child bond through shared outdoor experiences and adventures. The Firebirds Circle is part of the River Crossing YMCA Adventure Guides program.
Registration for the 2026-2027 season is open now.
Program Year
The Adventure Guides season runs September 1 through June 30 every year. The current season is September 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027.
You can join at any point during the season, but registering early means you don’t miss the fall trips - the calendar fills up quickly in September and October.
Registration Fees

💡 Register before October 15 to lock in the lower non-member rate — the price doubles after that date.
Please confirm current pricing when you register. These fees reflect the 2026-2027 season as we understand it. The YMCA sets the rates and can change them, and they are not published on the Y’s Adventure Guides page — so treat the figures above as a planning guide and check the current cost at sign-up. The River Crossing YMCA can confirm, as can your circle leader.
Program Registration Is for Kids
Each child needs a season registration with the YMCA Adventure Guides program before taking part in any circle activity. Dads don’t need a program registration of their own. This one-time sign-up covers the program’s insurance for the season and is not optional.
Events are separate: most have their own sign-up, and sometimes a cost, listed on each event page.
How to Join
- Register your kids with the YMCA. Use the button above to sign up each child through River Crossing YMCA.
- Join a circle. Circles are the small groups that families belong to and travel with. The Firebirds are one of them — reach out and we’ll help you find the right fit.
- Come to an event. Check the Events page for what’s coming up next, or browse the full calendar.

Our circle gets together throughout the season for:
- Camping trips and outdoor adventures
- Family-friendly events and gatherings
